Small fishing boat?

I own a 21' Arima Sea Ranger, Fantastic boat! But not a topper, you would need to trailer it. These boats were designed for the sound. My boat fishes mountain lakes, Willamette/Columbia/B10, and goes 60 miles offshore for Tuna, not to mention crabbing everywhere.

Three years ago you couldn't find one to save your life, now the market has reversed and there are tons of deals to be had. These boats are super stable and efficient and filled with foam so unsinkable. Lightweight and easily trailered by a small truck or SUV/Car.

If you are wanting to keep it as small as possible and still be safe out on the sound I'd look at a 17' Sea Chaser. It has a much smaller cuddy cabin than the Sea Ranger so more fishing space. The 17' Sea Chaser has similar fishing space to the 19' Sea Ranger. Could definitely fish 4 people and most importantly be safe

Check out "Arima Owners" website for a wealth of information about these boats.

I know this doesn't fit your criteria, but these are probably the biggest little boat you can get and tons of bang for the buck and most importantly SAFE.

Good Luck!

My Sea Chaser is 19’ and I love it. The perfect platform for my application.

90 horse Honda, incredibly stable.

I have an 18’ Lund Alaskan and fish the sound quite a bit. The 18’ SSV is a great boat for less money. Might consider a wall tent and use your hitch to tow the boat.
