Does any one have experience or thoughts on the following bags from slumberjack; Sojourn (Down Bag), Lapland (Down/Synthetic Hybrid), and Borderland (Synthetic). I am looking at picking up a bag to replace my issued artic canvas bag (heavy as crap and does not compress at all) These bags can come in at a decent price point but was wondering if they were actually worth checking out. Thanks Again

Lol. I got my 20 degree Sojourn for the exact same reason. I have 4 arctic bags I've carried since the early 90s.

To your point, for the price, I am happy. It compresses very well and the features are excellent. I used it this summer and was able to use the side zips for extra venting to keep from sweating to death. I haven't tried it in the cold yet, but I'm confident it will keep me comfy this October.

Thanks for the reply, does the sojourn have a roomy foot box or is it narrow like most mummy bags?

The sojourn is half way between a true mummy bag and a rectangle bag. The foot box is a lot wider and roomier than most other bags I tried.

I have a SJK boundary ( I think) in a 20 degree. Last year in the Nc mountains i slept a couple cool nights. One morning it was 18 degrees. I slept in merino base and a fleece top with wool socks and Beenie. I wasn't toasty like in my bed at home but I could sleep.

Thanks for the info guys, will probably grab one of these bags. Can't really beat the price for them and they look to do what I need for the time being

If you have a promotive account take a look. Slumber jack is on there with some pretty good deals.

I am on promotive and regularly browse. That's where I saw these bags and was curious if they were worth a shot. Thanks for the heads up though

I just grabbed the Slumberjack Lapland -20 on Amazon for roughly $100. Seemed like a great price for a -20 hybrid bag. I am going to be camping in Colorado in November for deer and elk. Base Camp, not backpacking.
