Slumberjack SJK Outpost 4 Tipi

just read through this thread. So 6 years later , how have these shelters held up ? how good are they in bad weather ?

I still have my slumberjack hot tent. It still is in working order with a few small holes from embers.

I did the build to get into a hot tent and find out if I like it vs. spending a bunch of money and buying something that cost $600. That being said I am planning to upgrade to a argali 4 person this year.

I haven't used mine quite as much as I'd like, 5 or 6 nights each of the last couple years, or in crazy wind or anything, but I have no plans of upgrading to something that may or may not have much more to offer for 5 or 6x the price.

It's also nice using it with a diesel heater if you are car camping. Having this tent with the stove has made it so my wife will come camping with me in the backcountry in otherwise chilly conditions, whereas she would not have before.
