I've gone back and forth with my center post. I am back to using it as it is easier to get height adjustments on the side of a steep hill vs having to readjust the legs all the time and having them right under your chin

I had a little mountain accident a few years back and I think my takeaway is lightweight isn't always best weight. Yes, it's more of a sufferfest, but there is something to be said for more robust gear
