I am needing a new sleeping pad this year.... So many options.....

I would need an all season pad probably get a long/ tall one.

Opinions?

I tried ALL of them and settled on the Sea to summit comfort plus insulated. More comfortable than my bed at home, double chambered so you can adjust softness and if one chamber is popped you don't end up cold on the ground. Also the valve they use is the best in the game. Couldn't recommend them more.

EMS has a 25% off any one item coupon right now too so it's a good time to buy one.

Bought an xtherm long a few years ago and it's awesome . I do know trying a pad out first is helpful. Some people like long baffles and some like short cross body baffles which is what I preferred. Can lay on most top branded pads at rei if you have one in your area. Good luck

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately we don't have a store close to go test some out.....

In terms of the all-season pads, I only have extended experience with the Xtherm. It's the best warmth to weight ratio I could find, and is no slouch in terms of comfort either. I have one of the newer generation ones, so the noise it makes has never cost me even a minute of sleep. I do have to say though, those Sea to Summit pads, although a little heavier do look like they could be the most comfortable pad around. However I've yet to actually take a nap on one.
