When I seam seal my tent I always put some down in the floor of the tent to help with my pad sliding around. It really doesn't help that much. Anyone try anything else that has worked?

Put it in your bivy bag.
Only problem for me with going the bicycle route is the amount of condensation that forms between my quilt and the bivy.I do this too, I'm a rodeo sleeper and this keeps it all together. A lightweight bivy adds warmth, protects your bag, keeps critters out, worth the 6 ozs for me.
Strips running one way on the floor and perpendicular on the pad.Not enough on those times when you cannot get really level. I am going to add more tonight. I am thinking of applying a bit to my pad as well.
Get a sea to summit fleece liner and put your pad inside the liner. This greatly reduces condensation and improves comfort. Then put the fleece lined pad inside your sleeping bag. Now you can sleep in a hammock without loosing your pad or waking up to a pool of sweat.Only problem for me with going the bicycle route is the amount of condensation that forms between my quilt and the bivy.
