Sleep apnea mouth pieces

Good advice from the other dentist on here.

One brand to ask about is Panthera Dental Labs. It's a white medical-grade nylon and they have various models. My patients have had good success with them.

It's been mentioned before, but the interplay between dental benefits and your medical insurance gets confusing/frustrating fast. If you are willing to submit a claim to medical and you've had a sleep study, you could possibly get some reimbursement for your device. Some dental offices will help with medical claims, but they are few and far between.

My Dr said no problem as long as I did not put the butt directly on the implant. Mine is located between the skin and pectoral muscle similiar to a Pacemaker. It's about 2" away from where I place the butt of a rifle or shotgun. I've hunted 3 seasons with mine and no problemo.

I ran mine off of a large battery pack and solar charger last year in camp. Worked well enough. Never tried a mouthpiece but would be interested in seeing what everyone here says. It would sure as hell be a lot easier to tote around the mouthpiece but sleep is recovery and is exactly what you need on a trip.

My dental office won't give me a receipt with the medical insurance code, so I am out the 1900 for my device despite having a sleep study and prescription. Very annoying.
