Sky Rover Banner Cloud 10x42 binocular review

My limited experience is with the 12x50s from sky rover and all i can say is wow. Only other 12x bino with this much FOV is an NL pure and they are 5x the cost. Iv spent some time behind the 12x42 NL pures and with out having them side by side (which i plan on doing) I don't feel like I'm giving up much if any optic quality. Only thing I can say is the sky rovers are heavier and bulkier but the performance is right there with the alpha glass and huge FOV.

I was considering buying the 12X50’s but decided on something else when they went from a lifetime warranty to only a 3 year warranty.

@6.5x284

I am no pro reviewer and have only used them in my backyard for short sessions over the last week.

That said, they live up to the hype. Premium glass with tremendous FOV despite being 15x. Small FOV has always been the downfall of big glass for me.

I'll have a lot more info in 5 weeks after my Barbary hunt but I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed, especially for the price. The Pure may be a touch better but these are probably comparable with anything else.
Good luck on your hunt...please let us know how the binos perform. I am strongly considering purchasing a pair of the 12x50, but awaiting your input (no pressure lol).

Just ordered the 12x50s off ebay. Seller looked reasonably credible. $580 shipped. I'll report back after I get some time behind them. Also looks like the warranty is down to 2 years now.

Not super in-depth here but after a few weeks with my 7.5x32’s and 15x56’s I gotta say I’m very impressed. Not just “for the price” impressed, these are really good. The FOV is insane on both and the clarity needs to be checked against a resolution chart to see any difference compared to my Noctivids. Here’s a few pictures I took across a large field with a hangar (1500y) and a far hill (2500y) to see the difference between some competitors. Keep in mind the clarity thru a phone camera is nowhere near reality, and the edge distortion is more from the phone having a hard time even capturing the entire field in the view.

Cons for 7.5’s:
-heavy for small bino’s
-FOV is diminished starting at the second eyepiece click up, not sure if it’s a design failure or just that the FOV is so large you have to be up close to get the full effect for the angle. It’s sharp right up to the edge but definitely wouldn’t work for glasses. The 15’s don’t have this issue at all.

That contrast looks way different in the SRBC
They’re neutral for colors, they remind me a lot of the razor UHD’s in that regard. Noctivids are known for having high contrast and the Zulus have a small exit pupil so those two are a very different view than the SRBC.
