Skull plate and horns from an estate

Howdy,

I purchased the horns from an estate auction. They were mounted on a wood plaque that had info on the back about the harvest. It stated the sheep was harvested in Alaska in 1977. The horns have no ID “plug” in them. Do does anyone know if it is legal to sell these to someone?

Also, is there any a market for sheep horns? Thanks!

I think amnesia must be setting in. I asked this same question on this forum 10 years ago and had already got an answer! I guess it’s time to make a doctors appointment 🤪

Remove the horns from the skull plate and you can legally sell them. It's illegal to sell a "trophy" without special permission from the state. I may know of someone that will buy them for custom pistol grips. pm me if you want and I could connect you with them.

I sold/traded a set from a small ram I shot years ago. I did a euro mount, had it for a while then made the sale/trade and had the Ram memorialized on my custom 500 Linebaugh revolver.
