SKRE Gear

Depends on what your definition of the word "used" is?

Kidding aside, I've talked to the dudes at length (Mike Wand, specifically) and ordered their hardscrabble pants and their uinta early season pants. I'd put them (feel/function) at least on par, if not better, with the Alaios/Valhalla from Kryptek, if you happen to be familiar. The early seasons also quite a bit like Kuiu Tiburons. I'd have kept the hardscrabble pants (good utility for early season with hip vents) if I could have gotten a good fit. Seem pretty durable, pocket placement is awesome, good stretch, hip vents.

So that's the caveat with asking if I "used" them - I ended up sending them back. I've got a weird build so pants are a nightmare for me. I kept them for a week and a half; tried on, walked around, etc. Overall, I was impressed with the pants and more impressed with the folks at Skre. If you are even close to a "normal" build, probably worth giving it a shot.

I'm planning on trying them this year. Hopefully can have them by this summer to try out the hardscrabble pant. Will write back with more info when I have it.

They just announced their Memorial Day sale - 20% off and free shipping, if you're going for it.

No. I know of one company off the top of my head that has American made gear that you can buy in camo (multicam, that's it.)

Softshell jacket is $569; pants for $529. (I went round and round with this before I finally relented. It quite literally can't be done. Well, unless you dig multicam and would rather have a jacket than a rifle. Or two.)

SKREgear is legit

I have been looking all over the internet for a quality camo product that does't cost an arm and a leg. I have found a number of quality camo gear, with pricing all over the board. I thought I found a good product but then I see that a full set up will cost me up to $1000. Then, when I thought I found something else with better pricing, their product was of cheap quality and the camo pattern was awful. I can't remember how, or where I first saw SKREgear, but when I did, I knew it was the one. The MTNstealth pattern is awesome and blends in almost any hunting environment. The quality, design, and fit of the apparel is spot on. The fabric is high-quality and the fit and form is very athletic. The design makes movement in the woods and backcountry comfortable and the materials used help wick moisture when warm and also keeps heat in when cool. Very good product!

I would recommend getting your hands on a piece or two just to try it before you spend tons of cash on other name brand camo apparel.
