So I was killing some time on promotive.com, and stumbled across "slumberjack" packs. They look kinda like eberlestock packs and there are some smoking deals on promotive.

Anyone ever use them? I don't need another pack, but I could see these as a cheap loaner or backup, unless they're garbage.

fyi I have no affiliation with SJK, frankly I've never heard of them before.

There were a couple of them in use at the national Train To Hunt challenge at the beginning of the month. Also they had their whole line there to look and play with. The ones being used held up fine with the 150# sandbag "meat haul". The ones I checked out seemed to be of decent construction and material for a midline pack. I am no pack expert, but in my expereiance they would fit the bill of a backup or loaner quit well.

I agree with the above post. I saw them at the same location as afteamroper, and they performed well in the meat haul for the folks who carried them. They have a number packs to choose from and are a fraction of the price that Kifaru, SG, MR and Exo packs cost. Give them a call for specifics, I am sure they would be more than happy to talk you and answer any questions that you may have.
