Any reviews on Sitka thunderhead series? I don’t think they sell it anymore, but I came up on some pants pretty cheap that we’re brand new, and have been looking to get my rain gear going

They still make the thunderhead series and it is a really good set of rain gear. I love how much quitter it is to the cloudburst or stormfront but it takes a bit to dry out instead of the cloudburst were you just shack it off and put it back in your pack.

Definitely quality gear and will keep you dry. The exterior will have a tendency to creep around the cuffs as water collects in the soft material, but with a pair of water proof gloves this wouldn’t be an issue if it bothered you.

I wore my jacket one night at a HS football game with near constant precip, I never got wet underneath except a little around the cuffs where some water snuck around like mentioned above. The main part of the jacket kept my head, neck, torso, arms dry. This was several hours sitting around folks with umbrellas where I didn’t mind them pouring water onto my jacket. It never wet out. That’s my best test for the jacket yet....I am sure others have a more strenuous test for it

I bought a pair of pants two years ago they have done very well on some very wet Idaho days and love the full length zips to dump heat👍
