I am requesting information on the proper fit of a Stormfront Jacket. I am 5'6" and 162 lbs. My chest measurement is 40 inches. Will the medium jacket supply room for two base layers. I know the literature states a chest size of 41 in the medium but nothing is better than information from individuals who wear the jacket. Should I opt for a Large. Thanks

I don't know. It seems like there rain shells are pretty big though. I'd bet money a medium would work just fine. I tried on a Medium and I thought it was almost to big for me and I'm 5' 8" 175. You need a few more people to chime in though.

I am about 5’10 200lbs and the large is good for me with a couple layers. Can even put a puffy beneath when need be and still move reasonably well. Would think you’d be better in a medium.

I'm 5'10 and 180 and my Cloudburst is a large. Allows plenty of room for layers but not too big to wear just over a single layer either. Buy from somewhere that offers free exchanges if you arent able to try it on first.

The Stormfront is more of an expedition fit, so it's sized to go over your other layers. You'll swim in a large. The medium will serve you much better. I size down in anything with that kind of fit, their Down WS jacket, Stormfront, Coldfront etc. Even the medium will seem big if you wear it without layers under it.

I think a medium would be better. I’m 6 ft 170. The med fit me nice and I can imagine a large would be way too big. I Actually sent mine back. Fit was just awkard on me and had to pay $350 for something that doesn’t fit really good. The sleeves where the problem for me.
