Sitka Microdown Hooded Jacket

I see this new jacket on Sitka's website.
Can't find any information on the interwebs.. Anyone have any info on how much fill it has. I'm concerned the Hyperdown is too warm and fragile, but looking warmer than the Kelvin Aerolite.

Info from the website:

Description:
Our most advanced insulation, engineered to save space in your pack and keep you properly protected. 700-fill ExpeDRY™ treated Allied Down offers elite lightweight, compressible, moisture-resistant warmth. Wrapped in a DWR coated 27D ripstop fabric, the MicroDown Hooded Jacket blends capable durability and coverage from light precipitation. The streamlined hood deploys quickly over headwear and the zippered hand and chest pockets offer secure storage for your essentials. Hunt fast and light with this go-anywhere insulation solution that delivers peak performance in a minimalist package.

Why We Made This...
When you're setting out to traverse miles and miles of terrain with countless feet of elevation gain, there shouldn't be a single ounce in your pack that isn't pulling its weight. The MicroDown collection was engineered to keep unnecessary weight off your back and still provide next-level protection from the strains of the wilderness. Using a treated down insulation that withstands moisture and compression, MicroDown makes no concessions when it comes to warmth. However, ultralight doesn’t have to mean delicate, so we wrapped this top-tier insulation in a ripstop fabric that withstands real-world use in the backcountry.

Details:
  • 27D Polyester ripstop fabric offers lightweight durable performance
  • 700-Fill Allied Down treated with ExpeDRY™ is lightweight, compressible, and withstands moisture
    • EDIT: Sitka CS shared "The Microdown will have 90 grams (3.17oz) of 700-fill Expedry."
  • Additional DWR coating sheds light precipitation
  • Zippered hand and chest pockets keep essentials secure
  • Lightweight minimalist hood deploys quickly and fits over headwear
    Total weight: 13.6 oz

Thank you for reaching out.

The Microdown will have 90 grams of 700-fill Expedry.

The Hyperdown will have 230 grams of 800 fill power Primaloft Gold down blend with Cross Core Technology.

The Kelvin Aerolite jacket will have 80grams of insulation in the body of the jacket and 100grams of insulation in the underarms and side panels of this jacket.

Thank you,

I was wondering how this would compare to the warmth of the Aerolite. I currently still have an older kelvin lite hoody as my "lightweight" puffy (although its pretty heavy). Looks like the microdown will be a good bit warmer based on those fill weights and the known clo's of the various insulations (roughly 30% as a average of the aerolite's body and arm fill). I have held the microdown, but the store didn't have the color I wanted. In hand it is noticeably lighter than the aerolite, and obviously more packable. Put that with the 27 vs 20d face and I bet the microdown is a great jacket, I'll be getting one in green.

Side note: Sitka should give this information. If you sell this technical clothing that costs all this money, the consumer is going to want to make informed decisions. I wish they gave us more of this stuff up front and revamped their little "slider bars" in some way.

I agree 100% on your side note..
I am doing a bit of shopping and comparison and it's very difficult because companies don't all provide the same information..
It should be extremely clear for every product: Down and/or Synthetic, What FP or FP Equivalent, how much fill for at least one size and details on the face fabric. It would really help inform the consumer!
