I'm trying to decide which pants to use for the last week of archery elk in Colorado. We will be in the San juans and not sure which pair to take. I have the ascent and mountain pants. I've never been elk hunting or even to Colorado so I need a little advice from those that have used these pants out there. Thanks for the help.

I would not ever be without Timberline pants, they are versatile, comfortable and tough The knee pads are life savers on stalks They run a little small for size, I'm a true 36/37 waist and a 38 W fits me perfectly

I appreciate the info however I don't own the timberline pants so I would assume the mountain pants would be better since they are closer to the timberline.

I have the mountain pants they'll do you great, lots of guys haven't yet tried the mountain line from Sitka yet as the timber lines were the first to come with the knee pads. They are very very similar to the timber lines.

Either pant will work fine. I always wear the lightest pant I have. But my hunting partner wears his mountain pants all season. It's personal preference.

I have both.. i switch between both. I love my ascents the most probably just cause there lighter, especially for bow season. But cant go wrong with either. I hike a lot, so im not a big fan of knee pads as they rub me a bit and restrict me some, but they are nice on close and personal stalks...
