This is wrong. Those jackets are the same material, both with welded seams. They would do the same job, the mountain jacket just doesn't have a hood.
Not to derail the thread but why is the mountain jacket more expensive than the flash?

Both are just Windstopper though. Flash just doesn't have a lining of any sort.
