Loaded the Sitka this afternoon with a modest 30 pounds and had a nice conditioning hike. Two thumbs up on this ruck. Can’t wait to slide a Elk quarter into it!

I fitted one for buddy of mine and it seems like a decent pack. Step up compaired to what sitka offered in the past

Any more details Swamp? I’ve looked at them, but no few people who have them? Any previous other brand packs to compare them to?

I have compared them to Eberlestock, Kuiu, SG, MR (military ruck Not their hunting stuff) I’ve also used some of Osprey’s stuff which are great packs but not necessarily designed to hunt. All good and well made packs but the Sitka to me was the better choice. The 4000 has a pretty cool batwing design in the front so you can really compress down the load. Expansion baffles As well so you can really load it down if you want to. The 4000 and the 6200 also have a built in meat/antler system. All orange colored straps are easily identified and are used to secure meat and antlers. The padding is mesh and does actually breathe allowing for good air flow. The pack rides well after adjustment and transfers the load properly to the hips off of the shoulders. The shoulders straps do adjust up and down (which you can see in their video) to provide a more fine tuned fit. The ruck fabric is very sturdy with Water/blood resistant coating. The 4000 has a ton of room if needed but can be streamlined as well. That is a quick down and dirty. The Sitka Backpack seems to currently be downplayed like a road less traveled. Not sure why? I dont think you will be disappointed.

May I ask your height and torso size? Or your assumption on how this may fit taller/longer torsos?

I have a longer torso and am 5’ 11”. Not sure of your size but it adjusts via the cam lock buckle in the back. If you have not seen the video, it may shed some light.

The Sitka packs have come a long way as legit load haulers. That being said, I’d still put it a step below Exo, SG, or Kifaru as far as comfort (for me)

I packed out a couple elk with mine. Good pack with some really good features. For me, it's not quite in the same class as Kifaru, Exo, or Stone Glacier.

I do still have it along with the Exo K3 and the last two generations of Kifaru frames if anyone near Buckley, WA wants to compare them for themselves.

Here is Josh's review of the 6200.

It’s downplayed because for being the same price range as the other big name packs, it doesn’t have a meat shelf. If this had a detachable frame system I’m sure they would double or triple the sales of it.
