Anybody know if these are the same jacket with the only difference being a hood on one.

I’ve put my hands on the kelvin jacket but haven’t been able to see the kelvin hoody in person

Thanks.

But it is down and significantly more expensive.

I would be wearing this under a wind proof shell so I have not really looked at the ws down hoody, but price is really my hang up with it.

Thanks for the confirmation about them being the same.

Based on my experience the Kelvins are wind resistant too, so either way works.

I don’t think there is any difference;m other than hood; usually the model name is included in kelvin series if it’s differentiated from standard kelvin (kelvin lite, kelvin active, kelvin down WS, etc) .

I have a Kevin vest and Kevin lite jacket.
Either will layer just fine under outerwear. I would give nod to the Kevin in a vest. I think the little extra insulation lends itself to more versatility in that you can wear it as a stand alone piece ...I have worn in many times over just a base layer and Sitka or first lite hoodie.
