New version is softer and more comfortable but I feel the old one was better wind blicker

I have the original version. It is very tight fitting but also very comfortable. It does block the wind really well but I feel like that’s about where the benefits end. I don’t feel like it keeps me that warm when I am cold but it also makes me sweat terribly when hiking. It’s a really nice jacket and I want to like it but just don’t use it much anymore. I much prefer a good wind blocking lightweight puffy.

I have the old version. It sounds like I am the outlier, but I feel like the wind cuts right through it. It also isn't warm at all. I am curious how the new one fares. It seems softer and more comfortable. The fit seems a little different also. Mine is kind of short in the torso. Not terrible but just a little.

Curious if anybody else had a chance to compare the old vs new version of this jacket? I have the old version and thinking about possibly trying out the updated version. I’ve been pretty happy with the old version blocking out the wind for the most part.

I have both and the differences are hard to detect. I do think the Jetstream jacket is the best early/mid hunting jacket on the market. It does an excellent job blocking the wind and fits better (tighter), than the Stratus and is equally as warm. I throw a merino base, Fanatic hoody and light puffy jacket underneath and sit out at 40 with no problems. I can push it to 35, if needed, for 2-3 hour sits. It also has a bit more flex than the stratus; it is a great option for saddle hunting.
