I was wondering what you tall guys where. I don't concider myself a really tall guy. I'm 6'3"-6'4" and since it's been the holidays I'm back up to 160lb. My wife bought me a Sitka 90% jacket for Christmas. It's a size large. It fits perfect around but it's a little short. Will an extra large be much bigger around or any taller? Is there a better brand as far as sizing for tall people goes? Or do you just have to deal with it?

I’m 6’ and wear large Sitka tops. I also find them a tad short in the midsection, but probably not quite as much as you, and it’s not short enough on me to be an issue fit wise. I have also tried on a buddy’s XL Jetstream and I didn’t really find it much longer in the torso. Not enough to make a difference anyway. I noticed more room in the shoulders and torso though.

Some of Sitka’s tops are longer, but all the jackets you’d wear most of the time seem to be a tad short IMO. As for other brands, the Kuiu guide jacket has a much longer torso length than Sitka. Kryptek jackets are also longer than Sitka. As for anything else I can’t say as I haven’t tried anymore out. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. It wouldn't be bad as an under layer. But as an outer it's pretty short. I'll have to check out kryptek.

I’m 6’2” and have the same experience with the 90%, ascent. All of their kelvin stuff fits a little longer and my kelvin light hoody has a nice drop in the back.

It doesn’t look bad on you just look for more length on what you would be wearing over it.

We’re close in weight too. An xl in Sitka doesn’t work for me because the waist adjustments get maxed out causing a weird gap and makes the zipper difficult to get undone.

The Kuiu guide and chinook would be longer in the back but the same in the front.

I'm not sure, but I think the Sitka Parkas are cut longer (past the waist). I have the Blizzard Parka and it reaches almost to the thigh. The Coldfront jacket I had only reached a little past the waist (like yours in the picture).

Look at Pnuma. They have tall sizes in everything and are impressive products. I am 5-11 with long arms, I ordered a medium tall from them in an Insulator jacket. Wow...sent it back for a regular medium it was so long in body and arms.

Thanks guys. Just didn't know if there was anything better. Its not a cold weather outer coat so i think i can live with it. I will check out pnuma. And maybe try and find some Sitka in a store to try on.
