Haven't weighed them but jacket seems a tad light than the pants. I have the 36 pants as well. Super impressed with the durability, and lack of stink after use.
I am making a spread sheet on hunting gear and the only pieces that I didn't have weights for were the equinox jacket and pants. I am trying to analyze what I need to fill in my hunting clothes using what I already have. I am newly retired and want to do a lot more hunting. I never really thought out a "system" for hunting clothes before, just used whatever I had and they are mostly worn out or ineffective.
In looking at all the stuff out there in quiet Camo outerwear, Sitka seems to have what I need/want to fill my gaps. I mostly hunt Whitetail here in Pennsylvania and elk out west. Since this is when the gear companies introduce new stuff, it is a good time to figure this out. I am amazed at the weight reduction using the latest gear versus my old whatever collection. Warmer too. I used to just suffer through the cold or be so bundled up I looked like the michelin man.
I am pretty sure that the Equinox jacket and pants are going to be my early season go to's and getting the weights to these pieces will finish my spread sheet.
Btaylor, If you could weigh the jacket I would appreciate it.
I don't have a scale to weight that light anymore but large jacket will fall between the med jacket and 36 pants weights listed above. I bought the set last year about this time for early elk and early season whitetails. Used it for spring turkey too. For an active hunt like turkey and elk I had no issues wearing just the pants jacket and core lightweight hoody. Temps ranged from 38 to around 80. Did hunt one afternoon this fall with temp at 91 when I got in the tree. No jacket until last hour of daylight but was as comfortable as one can be hunting in those temps. The set held up well through the elk hunt but that wasn't near the test that hunting here was this fall. Probably have put close to 20 miles of continuous saw brier travel on them here at home and have yet to have even the smallest snag. I will saw they won't protect you from pokes and scratches from briers. Several days my legs looked like I had been wrestling a bobcat but the pants are in perfect condition.
For tree stand hunting I am going to add a core mid and core heavy zip T. That should expand functionality for stand hunts down into the mid to low 40's maybe. Oh and base bottom too. Don't think you would be disappointed in them.
