Sitka Apex for September archery?

Just got back from NV mule deer with the apex pant and ascent shirt. High 40s/Low50s in the am and 80s in the pm. The apex was warm enough in the morning without any additional layers and breathed very well during the heat. Best part is they are super quiet even when busting through brush. But as someone else already mentioned they aren’t that burable. I already have a small hole

Just got a pair of ascents for late September archery in NM. They're thinner than I expected so have been debating on returning and going with Apex. I already have timberlines for when it cools down so leaning toward sticking with ascent and just adding base layers if I get chilled in them. Ascent seems kind of loud though. Geez why can't I be rich and have one of each.....

I don't know if the Apex is warmer. It is different, but I can wear it in hot weather. It was my go-to during the whole of Colorado archery season last year and AZ in January. The Ascent is more durable, but it's also louder.

Somewhat reviving an old thread, but curious as to how you liked the Apex Hoody? Mainly curious in your opinion of its durability as an outer layer? Really like the 'idea' of a merino backer with a nylon face for some resilience, but interested if it performed as intended.

I love it. Wore it every day of an elk hunt with only just a base layer. MT 2nd week of November. I was moving more than sitting but it was perfect. Was surprised how warm it is. Only had to wear a coat a couple times while glassing. Works great in warmer weather too. It's kinda stretchy & meant to fit more snug than loose which I prefer. The hood fits a little too tight IMO. Like the zippered pouch instead of open.

Yes it is. It will get picked by briers but it doesn't run or anything.
In case anyone is listening it would be nice if it had a draw cord on the hem for us thin guys.

It is durable, I’m sure you can rip it, but I hunted about 10 days or so in mine this year and hunted a lot of deadfall for late season elk and it was fine.

For early season I would pair with a super light base layer t shirt, it is thicker and warmer than the Sitka lightweight core. It personally shined for me as a mid layer over a merino LS baselayer during late season. I think it’s a very versatile piece and the hood is fantastic.
