I am so impressed with the versatility of this piece of kit I figured I would share. I’ve had countless brands and none have come close to the temperature range of this jacket. It’s breathable, cuts the wind, and handles temperature swings from 20-70. DWR is nothing to write home about but this is easily my favorite layer I’ve ever owned. Wore it for 10 days straight in the Thorofare managing temps easily with gloves, hat, and long vs short sleeve t shirt underneath.

They are so versatile it's also one of my favorites.

The ambient/active insulation pieces are the biggest improvement Iv seen in clothing in the last 10 years. I have an ambient hoody that I used 90% of the time and it worked awesome. Only downside is durability. I don’t see these pieces lasting me more than a couple years.

After a couple of years I got tired of everyone singing the praises of the Ambient and bought the 100 to give it a test run during early bow season. I was so impressed with it after a few hunts that I ordered the 200. I don’t know how it does what it does but am happy it does. The only negative is if it’s worn as an outer you will tear it up if you brush bust with it.

What’s the fit like? I have one of Sitka puffy jackets in Medium. Would you suggest the same sizing for the ambient?
