What is the preferred plate for this head?
I have 3 now and neither will clamp in tight enough to not slide front to back?

Unscrew the tensioner all the way out and file the little tab off of the bottom. I hated fiddling with that when my two different plates were slightly different widths.

Got it. To tighten to a slightly narrow plate, turn the lever clockwise all the way, then pull it out away from the body of the head, and while holding it out, turn it back counter clockwise and then release. Repeat and/or adjust until you have a snug fit.

Anyone know if there is a plate that has 2 mounting screws? The new Kowa spotters have two holes in the mounting foot but i haven’t been able to find a plate that lets you screw into both. Am I missing something?

There’s a picture for reference. I’m sure it’s simple but i haven’t found a solution yet.

My sirui plates came with two screws, you would have to remove one of the thread adapters from the foot of the spotting scope. Then it just comes down to is the slot in the plate long enough.

How would one go about removing one of those?

In my limited experience a large flathead screwdriver works perfect.

That being said I don't know that the plate is big enough to accommodate the distance between the holes on the spotter.

Okay I’ll give that a go. I guess I could just take out the larger screw that comes with the head and then add another small one. That should work if the plate is long enough.
