Sirui VA-5 with TY-70A Plate

I have a Sirui VA-5 head with TY-70A Plate for my spotter. Not sure if i'm doing something wrong or if the head is defective but even with locking the plate down with the thumb knob it is still able to slide and gets stopped by the retaining pin.

Anyone with this combo; does your plate slide when the lock is engaged?

I dont have this exact setup but I got some help from another on here about how to adjust the tension. On the "thumb lock" there is a spring internally. Pull the lock lever out and turn it down one spot to make it tighter. The inside of the lock tab is a hex and sits on a nut that controls the tension. Unlock the lever first before pulling out so you have room to adjust it down.
