Sirui T-005x For Meopro 20-60-80 Spotter

Just found a Meopro 20-60-80 spotter locally that was too good of a deal to pass up... I have an ED50 with Slik Spring Pro for the long trips away from a vehicle but need a spotter than can stay with the new Meopro either in the vehicle or shorter day hunts. Given that it weights 4.5lbs, would the Sirui T-005x be suitable, I dont have alot of experience with supporting these heavier spotters. Since it will mostly stay near a vehicle the added weight savings of a carbon fiber tripod may not be necessary unless there are other reasons that I am not considering?

I use the Meopta S2 with the T-025X and for what I need it to do it functions beautifully with the center column removed; when I had the center column attached it was too wobbly for my liking. You may want to check out the T-004X as it has a more user friendly center column and handles the big Meopta just fine in my experience.

Now if you get your spotter on some really extreme angles the head doesn't quite like to support it while still allowing you to move the spotter but I just treat it like a panhead and tighten/loosen the locking screw and it works just fine for glassing.
