Single pin or Multiple pins?

Single here, reason being in this brush invested place of NIdaho most shots will be within 25 yds, so I prefer one pin set at 23 yds to take any guessing out of the mix and to not get my old brain flustered when that Big Bull comes in for the shot opportunity......

Single Pin Hogg Father. I love it so far especially after reading the trick pin article on here. I feel like if you have time to range an animal you have time to dial your sight.

3 pin slider set at 30/40/50. Very rarely need to move it while hunting and just dual it in for 3D and long range practice.

Really liking my 4 pin slider this year, have three kills on it this year so far. Shot a single pin slider the past few seasons, def has its pros and cons. I need more time on it but I'm thinking the multi pin slider is where it's at.

Here's a question for you guys.. How do you guys waterproof your sight tapes? We had lots of rain in Colorado this year and mine kept bleeding. I laminated mine with packing tape and put double stick on the back. What are your guys suggestions?

I make my own tapes by hand. I put two coats of clear tape on both sides of it to make a "waterproof seal." Then I tape it on. Haven't had an issue with rain. There is prob better methods out there, but thats what I do

Use an "old" HP laserjet and print on Avery label stock and you need not worry about water. Stick it on and go.
It rained every day when I was in AZ a cpl weeks ago.

I'm looking to make the switch to this setup. Currently shoot a 5 pin fixed (30-70 yards). Figure even at 20 yards, the animal is somewhat close enough to factor in a 2-2.5" difference. With a single pin, I know a lot guys take whiteout and mark other yardages on the pin.

highcountry, simple trick just stick ur sight tape on like normal then rub some of ur bow string wax on it and rub it in with ur finger. seriously works great.

Trophytaka, I'm gonna have try that, good idea, Single pin with the trick pin system here

I have one of each and found this to be my favorite setup. I have a single pin slider set up with the Trick Pin and really like it. It took some getting use to, but it has grown on me.

I didnt use it this August because I wasnt as confident with it as I would have liked, so I stuck with my 5 pin MBG slider. But I have continued to practice with the trick pin setup on a single pin and hope to use it on my late season OTC hunt.

For Spott Hogg, is it a PITA or even possible to add or take away pins after the sight has been built? I am going to give a slider a try this Winter I think, and am uncertain of how I want it set up yet. Be nice to know if I screw it up I can make changes without having to buy a new sight.

I currently use a modified G5 optix with 2 pins and a slider. I'd like to get something a little beefier w/o adding much weight and adjustable in and out. That being said, I will pick a slider over multi-pin every time. I can't stand the cluttered view of the multi-pin sights.
