Just like the title says, if you could only have one scope for all of your hunting needs which one would you keep?

Second that.Zeiss V8 2.8 - 20 X 56
Agreed. A 4X scope will handle any reasonable big game shot and short to medium range varmint. You can shoot as about as good with a 4X as you can with an 8-10X. Jack O'Connor said 90% of all big game hunting required nothing more than a 2.5X scope. Finn Aagaard said essentially the same thing. This is my stock reply regarding scopes for me: Leupold fixed four power.

I have this on order as wellNightforce NXS 2.5-10 X 42 Compact with illuminated reticle
I'll second that. Leupold does a good job from my experience. A Leupold VX-II 3-9x40 has been in the fleet for 21 years, a Vari-X IIc 3-9x40 for almost 30 years, and most recently the VX3HD 3.5-10 CDS ZL in the past year has been added.I have a Leupold 3-9×50 VXII that I'm pretty fond of. Very clear, a bit old-school by today's standards, but I use MPBR for hunting and it fits that job nicely.
