Watches are such a wonderful rabbit hole. For me a good quality watch is well worth the investment, and I don’t mean thousands. A few hundred can get you into a good watch. I generally recommend a dive watch. They have large illuminated easy to see markers, the timing bezel is very useful in the field, and they are water / blood proof. They also work for the rest of life.

There are tons of great watches out there. If you find a style you like feel free to PM me. I am happy always happy to chat about watches.

I have some sort of an issue with quartz watches and they never work long on my wrist. For everyday I use a Meistersinger M2 but the hands are not luminous. As a hunting watch I have a Seiko 5. Not a bunch of things I don't need and the luminosity is good.
I was gonna suggest a Seiko 5.
