Silver price just topped $75!

Ok, I don't have a tin foil hat but some of you guys post way too much information on an open forum. Long gone are the days where people were anonymous on the internet.

I'm not going to quote anybody's post to further preserve it in case any of you choose to edit how much gold/silver you have or where it's located in your house.

I have some nice nuggets my dad got from nome back in 1985. Gave them to me back then when I was 10....and I still have them.
That’s awesome, none of the ones I have carry any sentimental value, I used to work with a guy who had a small gold mining operation up near nome and I’d go there sometimes. We would go hike around and pan creeks sometimes getting a nugget or 2. I’ve been in a few pawn shops over the years where the owner has showed me their stash of gold nuggets people have sold, some are the size of baseballs.

I have a few houses, all set up with nice cameras. I’m not worried about it. I do appreciate the courtesy though.

Local coin shops are a decent way to go just make sure where they are compared to spot price. Internet stores will buy them as well but that seems like it would be a hassle.

…..people in Asia just give that shit away as gifts and promotions. At one point, I got a 16oz silver bar for opening a bank account.
I remember, and still got, Morgans from opening bank accounts, or buying CDs, back in the 70’s, maybe 80’s. I’ve hedged recently and sold a some coins, but bought a silver ETF.

I've never sold any but curious where you would go? Pawn shops can't be a great idea. Thanks.

There should be some metals places.

Pawn shops are scum and the facilitate scum. Mostly what we have around here. We got robbed and went around trying to repurchase some stuff thst was stolen. Just as soon see places like that banned for facilitating crime.

Man I have a nice coin collection that I havnt really looked at for 10-20 years. I should dig it up and see what’s there. It’s a modest collection but there’s lots of neat stuff in it.

Careful with the EFTs. They're over extended as is. The math doesn't work out currently and there's more paper silver and gold circulating than physical available.

Yeah, some are holding it as a SHTF government collapsing scenario.

I never understood that. If it gets to that point; Who is going to trade you a cow or food for a block of silver or gold?

If I was worried about a SHTF scenario, I would own a farm.
Exactly what I say. I have a farm and could supply food. If everything goes to hell it will be me telling you how much your gold is worth. And IF I want it instead of more useful things. Also: how will people authenticate gold? There will be a lot of swindlers.

I like the “can’t eat silver” crowd. Can’t eat paper either. What do you all think of Bitcoin?
Yeah you can’t eat or drinking any “asset” other than actual food and water, not sure what those people’s point ever is? Hell your bitcoin is gone if the power goes out, same as all our “money” in bank accounts or the stock market…

Absolutely. Bad is a sliding scale, but at a certain point food, medical, tools, alcohol/caffeine/nicotine, Etc will be all that holds value.

Silver is heavy enough it could be cast into bullets, but lead is heavier and a better choice.

Gold is much heavier than lead and would probably make awesome bullets, but it requires higher temperatures and is much harder to cast.
