Well, I had a bit of a boo-boo. Just got back from the Flat Tops with a honking great hole in my SL5. We set up camp in a cluster of pines for wind shelter, but apparently not well enough & had a 3" diameter branch come plummeting through my tent.
Can anyone recommend a good repair shop? I thought about a repair kit & doing it myself but the rip is one of those right-angle jobs, about 4" x 4" & it really needs doing properly.

I checked Golite's site & they recommend a company up in Washington(?) but they have a lead time, presently, of 8-12 weeks. I've got another trip planned the second week of October & need it back quick!

I would just throw some tenacious tape on it backed with some sealer and call it good. Ive repair alot of stuff it and its all turned out great. easy fix. You can get it at amazom or REI carries it. But yeah John and Bearpaw will gladly fix you up.

Just picked up a pyranet1 for my sl3 from John at BP,
wouldn't hesitate to send it in to him for repair.
He told me 3 weeks to make and ship to Blighty and it was here in a fortnight. Drop him a line.

Silicon cauk thinned with mineral spirits. Its the best fix for silnylon and is what most repair places will do after sewing it, but really the sewing is just for aesthetics. I would say cauk or cauk with tenacious tape.
