Well I finally finished the small E tarp and bivy/meat bag. It was a fun project and is multiple use . The tarp is small but will be used as a rain cape when I get caught out without rain gear, ground tarp when processing game , pack cover, etc. The meat bag is for full elk or moose 1/4s , E bivy, etc. It was a fun project and I am thinking of a few more bigger things to make. I bought 3 yards just to see what I could do with a sewing machine. It is kind of a copycat of Manosteel but I didn't put a draw string around the perimiter of the tarp. I used gutted paracord for tie outs on the corners and nylon web for pole loops. I had some granit e gear zip bags I used for stuff sacksPICT1505 (2).jpg

This is small enough to be in my pack all the time and for those overnight stays away from base camp. I have another triop planned next weekend so I will give a whirl then.

Thanks It was alot of fun to just make something , I usually build with metal so this was a big change

Nice job. My wife put one together for me before I left on a hunt last September. Only took her about an hour. It was a good learning experience, I'm thinking of making another one with some changes this year.
