I am currently having a custom 7PRC built for mountain hunting. It’s almost finished. I’m not a fan of super light rifles so this should finish out just under 9 pounds. It will be used mainly for hunting but I do have a 1000 yard range 10 minutes from my house so I do shoot often and do plan to take advantage of the 1000 yard range to better my longer range hunting shot opportunities. I am really on the fence with a few scopes. I plan to stick with moa as that’s what I’ve always shot and all my hunting friends shoot moa. I haven’t gotten into any competitive shooting yet to get me switched to mils. I’ve narrowed my options down to Revic Acura rs25i, NF NX8 4-32 ffp, and Trijicon tenmile hx in comparable ffp and power. I’m leaning towards Revic as it seems to check all of the boxes for a ffp hunting scope. I really like the reticle for the type hunting I do. Which is wooded and open terrain. Just a little heavy but not a deal breaker. I’ve always been a fan of NF for its durability but not a big fan of the ffp reticle options so it’s a close 2nd for me ATM. I like the weight and love the long standing reputation and durability. Trijicon falls in 3rd for me atm but it seems to check all the boxes as well for a pretty fair price. All seem to be very comparable and have passed the durability and repeatability test. Any opinions on which scope I should outfit this rifle with is greatly appreciated.
