The 308 is 18”. It had also been back and forth on an 18” .223 and an 18” .260 REM. No magnums.Did this suppressor ever see any other calibers besides 308? What barrel length?
Thanks for the details, I’m sorry to hear that. The 308 is 18”. It had also been back and forth on an 18” .223 and an 18” .260 REM. No magnums.
It’s seems your story is the minority, but every buyer this thread can help is worth it.I ordered my first suppressor and the Sythe TI was in my top 3 until i found this thread.
Sure glad I did before ordering and don’t have to deal with that headache or worry
I have buddy’s like that too!Buddy of mine (retired) came back to town this weekend and called me to talk about suppressors. He wanted to go to the local SOT and buy one, but he's only getting one so he wanted the best of the best. I told him it doesn't quite work like that, they might not have the best in stock, and those douchebags will just try to sell you on a Scythe which is likely to grenade on your 7mm Rem Mag. Sent him some links to highly regarded cans and said I'd be more than willing to help facilitate with a SS dealer closer to home.
Swung by my place to chat and did exactly what I told him not to![]()
NOBODY LISTENS TO JASON! Is what I call that. That is quite unfortunate. I have a couple very similar stories, except they haven’t (yet) purchased the Scythe. I think that’s mostly due to apathy as they still haven’t purchased their first suppressor.Buddy of mine (retired) came back to town this weekend and called me to talk about suppressors. The satisfaction of hearing "Well, I shoulda listened to ya"That is quite unfortunate. I have a couple very similar stories, except they haven’t (yet) purchased the Scythe. I think that’s mostly due to apathy as they still haven’t purchased their first suppressor.
It won’t hurt my feelings, I have found it is best to provide opinion for the various options and pros and cons. What they decide to do with that information is up to them. It’s the same process I have grown through, and sometimes we just have to learn the hard way![]()
