SilencerCo Scythe Ti failures

SilencerCo Scythe Ti Owners: Have you had a catastrophic failure?

The SilencerCo problems also aren’t limited to the Scythe Ti. They have failures with all their welded suppressors. I am not saying they are the only company with suppressor failures, but it’s not like this was limited to one model or one early bad run.

Capitol armory is your friend in regard to a reaper…. Easier than sincencershop
This is the answer. Capital Armory shows both DA Nomad Ti XC and UK Reaper currently in stock. They’ll ship straight to your door so cut out the local FFL who wants to screw you. Absolutely no need or advantage in rolling the dice with a SiCo Scythe.

SO.... I have skimmed through most of the 78 pages on this topic and have seen all the comments about them blowing and not being able to trust them. Question for everyone that has had one of these. I have stopped at two different dealers that stock them. I have out right asked about them blowing up and bot have told me the early runs did have some issues and that it has been resolved and that most of it was user error...

Now I trust Rokslide people would never abuse anything.... (Uhhhhemmm "droptest") but I have to feel there isn't much user error in a suppressor. This really checked all the boxes and I was so excited for it to be my first suppressor. Now I'm not thinking so. I don't want it letting loose with my daughters at the helm.

I have looked into the reaper and seems like a better can but I don't have a dealer anywhere near me for it and the shops around here want $200 to do a transfer if not purchased by them.

So did they fix the issue without saying anything? Has anyone bought one recently and had it explode or are all these old stock ones that were hearing about?
If you don't want to use Capital and have to use SS just get the Nomad XC and call it good. You won't be disappointed.

Won’t that require him paying his local dealer $200 for the transfer? That’s why Capital Armory makes way more sense.
Chances are he's got a dealer with a SS kiosk nearby, damn near everybody does. Wasn't sure his reasoning, some people just feel more comfortable with SS or some already have a dealer with a kiosk and know they can do it free.

No. Silencer Shop has them in stock and if he ordered on from them or went to a dealer that purchases from Silencer Shop, he won't be paying a transfer fee.

He made it sound like his FFL is going to charge him $200 if he buys it from anyone other than him. SilencerShop would be someone other I'd think, but I don't know.

If his published location is correct, there's at least five silence shop dealers in his area and most likely other that don't use silencer shop. So, all those silencer shop dealers have access to whatever is in the inventory plus whatever they get elsewhere.

Also if his location is correct, published NFA transfer price is $50.
