If you’ve experienced catastrophic failure of the Scythe Ti, please post the following:

1. Cartridge or cartridges used with approximate round count

2. Barrel length

3. Factory ammo, hand loads or both

4. Details of ammunition

5. Details of failure (to include failure point and pics)
People like to talk shit about Dead Air, but I haven’t heard of any failures of their Nomad TI

For those contemplating alternatives.
OCL Hydrogen K seems like a good option.

Hydrogen K
Length: 5 in
Weight: 6.7 oz

Scythe Ti
Length: 6.16 in
Weight: 7.3 oz

Not too many ~ 5 inch lightweight hunting cans out there.
Seems like most of the industry is focused on leveraging additive mfg for low back pressure designs.

Hydrogen K has been on my list for a while too. It metered out quite a bit better than most other 5” cans in the 2025 TBAC deal.

Just for some data, I ordered a scythe ti yesterday and serial number is approaching 54k. I knew about this thread, but everyone I know who has one has had no issues. They run a lot more rounds than myself. Time will tell if I get one of them biscuit cans.
So you knew about this thread and still bought one huh???

That’s a bold strategy my dude…..

Airlock Industries ZG 7mm is 5.5" x 6.6oz and meters comparative to the 7" cans.

Just adding another data point. I have about 300 rounds of mixed 300blk subs and supers through mine on an 8" mini fix and have not had any issues, so far.

I think the industry as a whole is chasing the short barrel AR market. Lw hunting can seems to be a smaller market, but I think one for more growth as people realize how much hunting unsuppressed damages hearing and can are easy to get.
