Come January yall that are mad about the Scythe blowups should be able to market them a bit easier and get something else you're interested in. Free transfers and especially once the speeds pick back up should really help with the used suppressor market. Does anybody know for sure if SiCo warranty is transferable to a buyer?

That would be awful neat to sell some cans..

I thought really hard about this, but decided against it. I am fairly certain the warranty doesn’t transfer. And if I sold one to someone who wasn’t aware of the potential issues, I would expect them to be pretty irritated and find a way to blame/sue me if it blew up on them, especially if someone got hurt. For that kind of trouble, I can keep it on my 6.5mm Grendel and use it to remind myself not to purchase any more of SiCo’s trash.

100% would need to be honest why you're selling it.

They never asked me for proof of purchase or where I bought it.

Why would you even need an FFL to handle the transfer. Can’t party A just form 4 it to party B ?
I'm just guessing since its still an NFA item they'd likely require a FFL involved. Maybe not for in state? But firearms across state lines certainly require a FFL so I'd presume NFA does also.

In state, just form 4 from one to another. Across state lines you have to transfer it to an in-state FFL/SOT, who the transfers it to an FFL/SOT in the buyers state, who the does a form 4 to the buy.

Basically, resale is only realistic in-state. Perhaps Capital Armory will offer a service for it in the future.

Capital Armory will do it for $185. Ask me how I know. I haven’t purchased a US or Airlock due to the excessive fee. I pay 42% in fee’s on a new can that is not part of their vendor network. I am waiting on the free stamp and that will make the “fee’s” more reasonable in my mind.

Has anyone thoroughly tested a repaired Scythe? Does it hold up "better" after the repair? I apologize I've not read every page in this thread.

Pretty sure there was a repaired can that failed as well… just not going to dig through the thread to find it.

Mine has held up I’m still shooting it on my 28s and 6.5 creed maybe 50 rounds I personally like the suppresser it’s been good performance besides the blowup see how long it holds up this time

Mine is shooting great after the repair. The can is very nice, as long and you don’t mortar it down range. Mine popped around 400 rounds of 7PRC and I have probably 500 rounds of 6.5CM on it since it was replaced.
