Did they talk you into the STM because of increased durability? They are replacing mine right now with the STM one. I have to wait a few weeks and file a new form4 but oh well.

Well that’s very interesting. Wonder if this could now be a prophylactic option or only after you blow one in half. They are replacing mine right now with the STM one. I have to wait a few weeks and file a new form4 but oh well.
Well wth. Coulda swore I had. I’ll add to the list.
This was mentioned in a recent S2H podcast. Called it “uncorking pressure” of bullets as they exit the barrel. They didn’t get too much into the technicalities, but basically had to do with powder volume, pressure, and caliber. It is not directly related to cartridge chamber pressure.Huh? Why?

Yeah, I’m just relaying what I heard (or thought I heard). Maybe @Unknown Suppressors can provide a little more insight.Kind of conflicts with the tbac ratings which align more with the idea that same pressure in a bigger bore = more energy exerted on the can.
Can any engineers weigh in how much stronger a stainless steel version would be if everything else is equal? No the didn’t offer it up I had to ask them for it.
