Mine and I believe I saw most others were direct threadHadn't thought of this. That's a good question. Might be worth having those with failures add if they have it on some sort of QD muzzle brake system.
I think it also includes what will eventually be the barrel length restriction chart for the scythe. Kidding of course but the Jolene restrictions are probably a very good guide for what the scythe can actually handle.
After my scythe come from put together,If they changed the recommendations to something along the lines of Jolene, any idea on how many of the reported ones here that would that have changed?
I definitely wouldn't put any more rounds through it. The consensus seems to be quick warranty work, and no issues with logging or tax stamp paperwork. I would contact SiCo.Stumbled on this thread because I was looking for answers on a little rattle in my new Sycthe Ti suppressor. I received it a couple of weeks ago, put it on my bolt action 243 Win and had two range sessions working up loads for two different bullet combos. Maybe 50 shots total. Took the suppressor off to clean the barrel and noticed it has a slight rattle. I had to double check and bump it a bit in my hand, but it’s there. I don’t recall that before. It’s just a 243 and no signs any impact on Facebook anything. Is a bit of that normal or am I hooped here? If it’s bad and requires warranty, I guess we’re paying the $200 tax stamp again huh?
A welded can like that shouldn't rattle. I'd contact them and I bet they'll have you send it in.Took the suppressor off to clean the barrel and noticed it has a slight rattle. I had to double check and bump it a bit in my hand, but it’s there.
No, as long as the rear portion with the serial number stays original there are no stamp fees involved. If they had to provide one with a new serial number then there would be a new stamp fee.If it’s bad and requires warranty, I guess we’re paying the $200 tax stamp again huh?
Have you checked the end cap for tightness? I've had a panic moment before where I had a slight rattle but the end cap was just ever so slightly loose. Almost like you need a wrench to tell it can be tightened.Stumbled on this thread because I was looking for answers on a little rattle in my new Sycthe Ti suppressor. I checked it but by hand. I will put the wrench on it today just in case. Good idea.Have you checked the end cap for tightness? I've had a panic moment before where I had a slight rattle but the end cap was just ever so slightly loose. Almost like you need a wrench to tell it can be tightened.
AgreedGuy on LRH said he just tested backcountry vs scythe on same rifle. Said wasn’t even close in any category. A bit of a bummer…but validates scythe is a good short can.
My two cents is a dead air primalWith that being said, who makes one that won’t fail on a short barrel RUM?
Lots of them are guaranteed, but I don’t want to have to use the warranty.
Damn, that barrel is not short either. Only been on that rifle?range day- shooting 6.5 cm 147g. Shot 5 rounds then cooled the barrel. Round count around 400 ( 70 rounds today before failure).
19” and yeah, direct thread.Damn, that barrel is not short either. Only been on that rifle?
Damn. I thought I was good because I don't intend to put ours on magnums.range day- shooting 6.5 cm 147g. Shot 5 rounds then cooled the barrel. Round count around 400 ( 70 rounds today before failure).

First sup tooWell- that might be the nail in the coffin for me choosing a Scythe Ti as my lightweight/compact suppressor
I kept hoping that the failures were related to larger magnums and/or very short barrel—well as the military used to say "hope is not a course of action"
Mine will be going on a 19" 6.5 as well.
