Do all the black gold sights have the same slide system. I have the pure gold and it seems to have to much play for my liking

Contact MBG. They have great CS and can get you lined out if you're having issues. I have the Ascent Verdict and mine is stiff enough that once I dial to my yardage I don't even need to use the tensioning knob or whatever it's called that locks it in place.

Exactly, I have two of these and took the knob off of both.

Short story- I contacted MBG customer service one time and I am a customer for life now.
