Do you think the capped turret sfp version will hold up better? Seems like the issues started when turret was bent- would that be a fair assessment?

@Formidilosus , why did you only tighten the rings caps on this scope to 20 in/lbs after the first drop shift instead of going to 25-28 in/lbs like you did with the sightron s6 scopes?

Because it was clear that it wasn’t the cause of the shift, and I was unsure about what the tube could handle. It is a Philippine made scope, and historically they have had thinner tubes. The loss of zero with this scope was due (at least primarily) to the turrets getting bent.

Update.

Form gave me this scope awhile ago and I just haven't had much time to shoot it much over the winter but thank god, I think its finally over.
Went out today to check zero and check tracking. Tikka 308, 168 grain factory TTM.
Cold 10 round check, then adjust up 10 inches, spot on. Zero shifted slightly but grouped and tracked well. I did shoot off my pack instead of a heavy bag which was last zero check. This combo has been a 1.25 moa rifle.

@mtnwrunner. Was the zero shift small enough to still be considered acceptable to you?
Would you trust this scope to hunt with? Thanks.

Absolutely. As Form said, it most likely will be fine unless dropped. I didn't do any drop tests but didn't baby it either. I've thrown it in the back of my 4runner with packs and crap piled on top of it uncased and this is SOP when I go shooting. It's got alot of features for what it costs.

Good to hear, i currently have 9ne sitting im my safe that hasn't been used yet. We're you planning on keeping it on a rifle to hunt with or practice only? @mtnwrunner

Thanks for the response.
I’ve been back and forth on these for a while for my 223. Your use case is similar to the conditions my rifle would see.
I just wish mine shot as well. I guess it’s probably time to buy one. 😁
