You think that’s bad? After shimming my cams with the HBX spacers to get a bullet hole I’m really frustrated with the outcome of my sight picture. Keep in mind that I have to take this bow back to the pro shop as they do not have my 1st, 2nd and 3rd axes 100% dialed-in. They are close, but not 100% perfect yet…
So once they are adjusted and level, those changes will actually make my sight picture even worse! So back to the crux of this post - my RX5 Ultra’s riser blocking my sight picture… I have 2 issues which I’m hopeful my dude at archery learning center can fix both :
1. the way the riser is shaped it splits wider and wider towards the top.
my solution : without dropping draw weight, I could shoot 200 grains heavier arrow. I’m hopeful that will drop my 20 yard “zero” so that it’s that much further down on my slider sight post. THE LOWER MY ZERO THE FURTHER AWAY IT IS FROM WHERE RX5 RISER SPLITS AND THE FURTHER AWAY IT WILL BE FROM WHERE MY RISER KILLS MY SIGHT PIC!
2. And this is the one that is more out of my wheelhouse. Possibly rest adjustment and cam adjustment or a combination of the two with some prayer to the archery gods/archery black magic…hopefully that will slightly tweak my centershot which will then in-turn moving my sight picture away from my riser.
the pics I’ve seen of other peoples sight pictures on this thread are frustrating but IMHO not bad. I’m starting to ramble but basically the pics don’t do justice to just how bad they are. Mine doesn’t look much worse than y’all’s But at full draw, a little over 1/3 of my sight picture is behind my rx5 riser. So close that my cable guard is about 1/4” to the left of my pins! (I’m a lefty). To pay this much for a bow and get this is absolutely infuriating
