Sight and rest recommendations

Hey guys,

I am getting a 2024 Mathew's Lift 29.5 for a great deal I can't pass up. I am new to the archery game but have shot compounds a decent amount when i was younger but mostly target shooting. I have some friends who are pretty experienced but like to do my due diligence. Along reading previous posts, I thought I would make my own posts to get some feedback. One friend recommends Black Gold and the other likes Spot Hog.

I was going to consider the Black Gold Por Hunter HD or the Spot Hog Boonie DT, both in 3 pin.

For rests, I am not too sure, I have not investigated what interests me much yet and was going to just get something cheap at first.

I do shoot a fair amount of rifles and reload, so I have a little experience tweaking and tuning things. TIA

lots of hamskea epsilons on the used market now with the r7 coming out. And you can’t go wrong with a black gold.

Any Hamskea if you like a limb driven rest - that's what I prefer and they are bombproof and easy. I know a lot of people like the QAD rests that are cable driven too if you would rather go that route.

As for sights those are both good. Axcel and HHA also make really good ones - I have the Axcel Landslyde on my lift and it's awesome but the Driver is their newer one.
