Aside from color, does anyone know if there is any difference between these 2 models.

Unless they made a new color, I believe that is gen 1 on the right and the current gen 2 on the left.

No target mode on the cheaper one. 0% worth considering, I'd pay 2x the cost for the one with target mode.
