Hey everyone, just curious if anyone else has any good or bad experiences and thoughts on the Sig tango 4? I did not see any of the tangos in the big scope evaluation thread. I have owned the tango4 4-16x44 FFP for a little over 8 years now, I’ve had it on a Christensen.300 win and I’ve never had any issues with holding zero or tracking. I have taken this rifle and scope combo out to 1050yds and I’m very confident 700 and in for hunting elk. I drew my LE bull tag this year and I’m just trying to figure out if I should upgrade or trust my current optic. I have nightforce xtrm rings on the way that I’m swapping out from my current weaver tactical rings. The scope has been fallen down on and dropped, dumped from a scabbard buckle fail on horseback (stayed in scabbard but was dropped, 4 years ago) since then I have shot quite a bit from 100-1000 just plinking steel and milk jugs, and have killed spike bulls out to 400. Am I overthinking or does my optic seem reliable for a tag I have spent years on, to make an ethical shot?

Sample size of 1 but I can’t trust them. Brother had a Tango 4 in a horse scabbard and the turret broke completely off. Luckily he had already killed a bull but it could’ve ruined a hunt.

Dang yeah I’m not sure if I lucked out but I’ve had some pretty decent bumps with mine and no issues thus far. I have a tango 6 so I may be swapping out the 4, really like the scope and I’m used to it for sure.

I’ve got one on my girls hunting rifle, it works well for what it is. Killed a pile of critters with it.
