Sig KILO6K HD rangefinder binoculars refurbished - $449.99

Can anyone comment on the optics of these vs ~10 year old Leica Geovids? (I assume the RF will be way better?)

I can’t imagine the glass on these being in the same neighborhood as the Geovids.

reviews say these would be best for stand bowhunting where you just need some glass but not glassing all day or for an elk hunt where maybe trophy class is not a priority but handy all in one would be nice. Resolution is decent but laser blue tint is significant from reviews.

I saw an older thread on some forum where the optics were compared to Meopta Meopros. Over on 24hourcampfire there’s a member who pushes these pretty hard.

That would be great. mine will be here later this week. I will try to update with my thoughts.

Mine arrived today. They're going back. The build quality seems decent, although the focus is stiff and slow. The optics seem decent enough, but the blue tint is beyond anything I'd expected. These might be great for rangefinding but not acceptable at all for any glassing. I'd take a pair of Vortex Diamondbacks over these any day as far as optics go. Just my opinion. I'm going to continue to use two separate units.

Good to hear thank you. I have borrowed Sig RF binos at PRS shoots. They were so blue it was like I looked through the giant fish bowl drink we got at the bar in college. 😂

I wasn’t sure which models those were but I knew I didn’t want them.

The 8x32 6k came in today. Laser seems great with fast returns and repeatable measurements so far to 1200 yrds on trees. Farthest i could see from my house bf it got dark. Resolution is decent but the blue cast is significant. Where I see these as useful are for an elk hunt bow or rifle that is not a trophy hunt long hours of detailed glassing are not needed. Elk are big and bright. stand hunting for deer with bow or gun where identification of a target animal and quick ranging are all thats needed. I will keep these as I am looking for a good rangefinder in a binocular package for current price these are a good and fair value at full price no way. Have more testing to do but compact unit with adequate optics and good range finder works for me.

Received the 10x32 today. Performed as expected, happy with the purchase as it fits my hunting needs at a great price.

Ordered 8x32s. Took these out as my main binos for 1st rifle elk season in Colorado this week. The rangefinder is excellent and have generally good optics (Very similar to my Nikon Monach M7 8x30s). Tint is there like all the other Sig rangefinders I have used, but I didn't particulary find it to be an issue. I did a comparision before the hunting trip and found the added darkness was reducing usability at first light by 3-5 min compared to my better glass (Vortex Razor / Swaro SLC). This was mostly a non issue as I found them usable for all legal hunting light and spotted mule deer at 200yds and confirmed points the first day hunting 5min before legal start. Ranged Mule Deer at 1200yds and had no issues with trees and rocks at >2000yds.

Best: Weight, 710g with battery installed. Same as my main 10x42s and I can leave the rangefinder behind for shorter range hunts.

Worst: Timeout, screen timeout is 30 seconds by default and you can only make it longer in the settings. Really should be 10-15 seconds. Don't accidently hit the range button watching game at first light.

Edit: Really a solid deal at $421.18 shipped. I will be switching back to my main 10x42s for mule deer next month, but these will get a lot of use for elk and shorter canyon mule deer hunting.
