Sig KILO6K HD rangefinder binoculars refurbished - $449.99

Can anyone comment on the optics of these vs ~10 year old Leica Geovids? (I assume the RF will be way better?)

I can’t imagine the glass on these being in the same neighborhood as the Geovids.

reviews say these would be best for stand bowhunting where you just need some glass but not glassing all day or for an elk hunt where maybe trophy class is not a priority but handy all in one would be nice. Resolution is decent but laser blue tint is significant from reviews.

I saw an older thread on some forum where the optics were compared to Meopta Meopros. Over on 24hourcampfire there’s a member who pushes these pretty hard.

Mine arrived today. They're going back. The build quality seems decent, although the focus is stiff and slow. The optics seem decent enough, but the blue tint is beyond anything I'd expected. These might be great for rangefinding but not acceptable at all for any glassing. I'd take a pair of Vortex Diamondbacks over these any day as far as optics go. Just my opinion. I'm going to continue to use two separate units.

Good to hear thank you. I have borrowed Sig RF binos at PRS shoots. They were so blue it was like I looked through the giant fish bowl drink we got at the bar in college. 😂

I wasn’t sure which models those were but I knew I didn’t want them.

The 8x32 6k came in today. Laser seems great with fast returns and repeatable measurements so far to 1200 yrds on trees. Farthest i could see from my house bf it got dark. Resolution is decent but the blue cast is significant. Where I see these as useful are for an elk hunt bow or rifle that is not a trophy hunt long hours of detailed glassing are not needed. Elk are big and bright. stand hunting for deer with bow or gun where identification of a target animal and quick ranging are all thats needed. I will keep these as I am looking for a good rangefinder in a binocular package for current price these are a good and fair value at full price no way. Have more testing to do but compact unit with adequate optics and good range finder works for me.
