The guys at SIG hooked me up with a Kilo 2400 to test out. I received it last night and have only begun to check it out. I'll be posting my thoughts in this thread as an ongoing review, so post questions or feedback here and I'll get the answers for ya.

**Update 3-26-18** My final review can be read here.

I think many would like to know how it compares to the recently discontinued Kilo 2000. I think you can still find the 2000 for decent sale prices so many might want to know if the 2400 is "worth" the extra cost. If you don't have access to one, let me know and I can send one to you.

Also, it comes with all of that in the photo? What is the black box?

I reviewed the Kilo 2000 last year. SIG SAUER KILO2000 Rangefinder Review

The new SIG Kilo 2200 is the replacement for the Kilo 2000. The Kilo 2400 has a built in ballistic solver takes atmospheric readings in real time.

Yes everything in the picture comes with it, plus it comes with THREE batteries, and a case like the Kilo 2000. I'll post a photo and description of everything in the package when I get home.

The "black box" is the included tripod adapter.

Other than the cool FDE color, are there any exterior changes from the Kilo 2000?

Here is everything that comes in the box.

Kilo 2400, manual, case, three batteries, tripod adapter, wind meter, big soft sided case, lanyard, and pen/stylus.

And everything fits in the soft sided case.

The Kilo 2400 utilizes a smartphone app for some of the features. The rangefinder can function totally independently in the field after you load your ballistic profiles.

The rangefinder connects to your smartphone really fast using Bluetooth.

A couple screen shots of the app in use.

Pretty nifty, I am curious how their app and wind meter compares to a real weather meter/ballistic calculator like a Kestrel?!

I'm not a long range shooter, but that thing looks BADASS

Interesting, so it doesn't secure to the body, you just slide it in? Is it the same mount for the kilo 2k?

I have a Kestrel that I normally use so I will be comparing them side by side.

Good to hear, if it does angles from its shortest distance to its maximum and it ends up being pretty accurate in terms of a meter and calculator I might have to consider replacing my Vortex Ranger and Kestrel NV4500 with one of these.

Will be interesting to see your thoughts and compare to what others are getting. For the most parts the reviews are very good, a few have had a couple issues and Sig is quick to take care of, or they just need to re sync, some have found the tripod mount VERY tight. Most feel its very good unit. I think it will work very good compared to the Kestrel. I have a Vortex rf and this is just a different animal. Some got ranges over its stated range an reflective targets. With Litz and applied Ballistics doing the work on its ballistic program I am confident in it and peoples results show the same. One of the complaints seems to be the ease of switching your wind for use in the program, so test that!
i sold my g7 and am just waiting to get this.

Can you take it out in the really cold (like 0 degrees and below) and see how it works? My kilo 2000 did not work in those conditions.

What wasn't working on the 2000?
They did put a different screen on this one, led versus....something, can't remember

I just checked and the tripod mount fits the 2K just the same.

I'll try to. It doesn't get that cold here but I'll stick it in the freezer if I have to.
