Sig Kilo 10k Gen 2 / Leica Geovid Pro AB

What is everyones opinion on the Leica Geovid 3200.com's vs the Sig Kilo 10K G1's? I am between a rock and a hard spot with looking for a set of Range finding Binos on the secondary market. My uses for them will be some NRL Hunter events as well as a spring bear hunt ect.

The 1st gen's have a blue tint ,if you can deal with that they are great for ranging.

I'm not as worried about the blue hue as the tech. Were there any major changes between the Gen1's and Gen2's? What is everyones setup for long glassing sessions when trying to spot game?

My Gen 1's were pretty bad for Glassing for my eye's, can't speak for others. The rangefinder was outstanding along with easy of use.

How has battery life been on the 10k g2s for people? Mine has been pretty terrible but I might have left the bluetooth on too much?

Probably should read the manual one of these days..

Atrocious.

…. Until I read the manual. You can turn off “extended range” or whatever. If you really need range out to 10k yds leave that on but carry several spare batteries. TBD on leaving that off but I expect it to chew through a couple CR1’s per year still. Tolerable imo but certainly not in the high power mode.

I've been on the same battery since July shooting and dialing, then 2 week Alaskan hunting trip and all hunting season down here in the lower 48, no issues at all.

Well something is wrong with mine or how I have it set then. I’ve hardly used it and it’s been through 2 batteries already.

Maybe other people have had different results but both my buddy and I have been running the same battery since we bought them, I called to ask him after we discussed it here. I'm not sure how much scanning and stuff he does, but I yse the crap out of the scan feature AND my Bluetooth is always on because 2 of my kids and my rifle use the BDX, so the signal is going back fourth quite a bit. Unless we have a handful of others saying they are having battery issues, I'd send that suckered in to get looked at. I've run 5 or 6 different sets of the sig bdx binos since they came out and I'm always scanning to see how far stuff is away, how close two ridges are from eachother etc, plus the sig scope connections and have never had one not last at least a whole year. What about others, what are you guys seeing??? Anyone else having battery issues?
