Does anyone have any experience/a review of the Sig Cross?

I picked up a used one in 6.5 creedmoor before SHOT. It is a really slick platform. I spoke with Sig at SHOT and they have plans to keep expanding the line. Sounds like more calibers and maybe some carbon fiber versions. Also, more third parties doing more parts for it.

I shot it at the range. It is really easy to shoot. It shot pretty good with the cheap Hornady ammo I bought. The trigger is pretty good, but a little heavy for me. I do like about 1.5 to 2 lb triggers.

At SHOT, I chose another rifle for the 22 creedmoor project I am working on. Going to sell mine, so that's about I can say. But, I have no problem recommending it. There are only going to be more rifles and parts for it.

Truthfully I saw the meateater crew use one and thought it was really neat. Wondered if it was actually worth the hype because it seems like they don’t have a ton of traction.

I really enjoy mine! Only flaw/issue is the hinge on the stock. It has so much play in it. I wish they made something to replace it and not hinge. I understand it would make the length of pull longer and would require disassembly to clean but I think it would be worth it.

I'd reach out to Sig. Mine has zero play. Actually, its so snug I was fighting it to release until I realized it needed to be lifted as you pivot.

Just messing with it in the store (many times) and comparing to my handful of other folders,

I’d make the statement it’s the best folder (the ones I played with are hard to fold but that’s ok). It’s solid and very snug against chassis. Most others are not in either.

That said it’s too heavy for my liking. If it lost 1-1.5lb I’d be all in.

I've had one in 6.5 cm now for about 4 years it shoots great and it's really not to heavy for a chasi rifle. Paired with a good lightweight scope it's a nice compact hunting rifle. I handload 140 grn eldms for it and get about .5 MOA and just over 2600 fps out of the 18.5" barrel. I've shot steel out to 800 and harvested game from 60-370 yards( elk, deer, bear, and antelope). All were 1 shot kills it's really been a nice little rifle.

I played with one at the store today. It was the minimalist butt stock version, which I'd not get as there's virtually nowhere for rear bag. Trigger was decent, bolt smith, lift pretty light. Appears to be a 50/50 cock on open, cock on close. I think it'd be an extremely hand lil truck gun, in a 6mm cm or 6xc, something that size.

I really like our Sig Cross 6.5cm. The adjustability is outstanding. The LOP works for my 8 year old son and can be quickly adjusted to fit myself. I can fly with it in the short pelican case. The trigger is not bad, but it could be better. I have not had any issues with the stock being loose.

Buddy has one in 6.5cm. I’ve shot it a lot. The trigger is terrible, it ruins the whole rifle for me. It’s light and shoots sub moa all day long though!

Thanks for the info guys. I think I’m still stuck on my desire for a Tikka but the Sig’s sure are tempting. Maybe it’s the sleek design!
